The Learner Portfolio

What is the Learner Portfolio?

The Learner Portfolio is a way for you to individually:

  • Collect and organize your written work including: notes, annotations, Paper 1 and Paper 2 practice, journals, essays, and creative responses
  • Prepare for internal and external IB Language & Literature assessments
  • Explore and reflect on texts and global issues we have studied from Year 1 to Year 2
  • Establish connections between texts, themes, values, and perspectives
  • Record your thoughts and ideas regarding texts, authors, characters and more
  • Trace the evolution of how you have grown and improved as a student, writer, and artist

Creating a Learner Portfolio

The Learner Portfolio is flexible in that it allows each student to tailor their portfolio according to what medium works best for them. Your Learner Portfolio could be:

  • DIGITAL: Google Sites, Google Docs, or Google Slides
  • DIGITAL: Padlet or Flipgrid
  • DIGITAL: Blog, Moodle, Adobe Spark
