About IB Math AA SL

At Oakridge, Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches is one of the three SL courses that students take as part of the IB program. This course is designed for students to develop their mathematical thinking through a more theoretical and algebraic lens. You explore a variety of topics including functions, algebra, calculus, and statistics, with a strong emphasis on mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and proof. The course also focuses on the use of technology to support analysis and deepen understanding, while helping you build the skills needed to tackle complex problems and apply mathematics to real-world situations.
